About me

I graduated in Physics from the University of Parma, my final thesis is titled: "Portable programming techniques for the simulation of physical systems on GPU and many-core architectures".
If you want, you can read my thesis here.
You can also download my presentation here.

My interests are Computer Science, Astronomy, Cinema, Photography and Music.

Aikido

I practice Aikido martial art at the Sakura Aikido dojo, of which I made the website.

Music

When I can, I play my acoustic guitar. Currently, I'm studying songs of Tommy Emmanuel and Mark Knopfler.

I've also written some things, click here if you want to listen to last song that I've recorded.
It was only a try, it wasn't a proper "high quality" mixing and recording.

Photography

There are some days whene I just want to take photos. So, this album is what I've collected until now.

CercaLibro and Libero Ateneo del Taro

With my beautiful love, Letizia, I'm contributing to a no-profit association called Il CercaLibro (of which I made the website.
Goal of the association is to share knowledge for very low price. Teachers and other contributors are all volunteers.

My specific role in the association is everything that concerning data managing and elaboration, plus comunication.
I contributed also as teacher for a course on Computer Science and, with Letizia, for a course on Introductory Science (called Powers of Ten).

Fedora

Occasionally, I contribute to Fedora Project (nickname: deepsky).
In the past, I've designed some release banners for the main website (like this, or this), and some countdown banners (like this).
Sometimes I contribute with bug zapping (e.g: bug #755335).
I'm also a contributor for the italian blog More Fedora.
